HISTORY

History of AIOFTSA backs from 1973 by a convention of OFB Teachers.
This Association became affiliated with Indian National Defence Workers Federation, in 1975 it got permission for correspondence, meeting etc with MOD, as Rules have not been finalized at that time in term of CCS (RSA) Rules, 1993. In October 2006 our Association was granted Recognition from MOD, Govt. of India in term of CCS (RSA) Rules 1993. It has become easier by efforts of Late Biman Das, Vice President, INDWF, Ishapore, the Director, NI/OFB, Shri Gurudatta Ray and present General Secretary of INDWF, Shri R. Srinivasan,Tamilnadu.

We meet every two years in the Biennial Conference and elect/ select Office Bearers of Head Qtrs. by delegates for the next term.

Kanpur, Muradnagar, Bhandara, and Katni have held Head Qtrs. At Present Head Qtrs. is in East Zone.

All Factory Schools are divided in to Five Zones as East, West, North, South & Central all are running under Ordnance Factory Board, Ministry of Defence. There are 6 Higher Secondary Schools, 17 Secondary Schools & 24 Primary Schools. 4 Zones are have Higher Secondary Schools except East Zone. OFB has gifted newly constructed building to GSFH SCHOOL (Cossipore).

XIXth BIENNIAL CONFERENCE was held in August, 2017 at CFA, Arvankadu, Tamilnadu.

The last XXth BIENNIAL CONFERENCE was held in October ,2019 at RFI, ISHAPORE,WEST BENGAL.

After superannuation of GENERAL SECRETARY .SHRI J N SHARMA. SHRI RAM SINGH IS NOMINATED AS NEW GS ON 25.8.2021
